Learning Blueprint

Below is an outline for what my goals are and how i might be able to achieve them.

Essentially, below are the most important things I want to learn the baseline knowledge of:

Networking:

lately I have been learning a lot of information about networking. The general concept is easy to understand: You get internet from some company like Verizon, you connect your computer or wireless device to the router, you enjoy internet because, magic. Little do people know about IPv4, ipv6, broadcast, mac address, octets, 1's and 0's. The list goes on and on forever. I want to start at the baseline for example, the osi model, start at each layer, and go from there. PDntspa. I'll start from the physical layer and go from there.

COMPtia a+:

My first milestone should be one i can be proud of - the A+ certification. I'll take this in person and ace it. It costs almost $300 for a college student for each try so I better ace it.

Kali Linux:

Kali Linux will be, by far, the hardest thing I've ever learned. There are so many applications pre-installed on Kali Linux with a learning curve for each application. I'm sure the time I spend on it will be beneficial. I wouldn't have ever learned about Windows if I didn't mess with it for years.

Giving Back:

The main purpose I am doing this blog is not only to preserve the information I learn for future reference, but also to give back to the community that has nothing but give to people like myself. It's the least I can do for a community that has done the most for me. I understand there are a shit ton of bad hackers out there - people with terrible intentions. I can also see how it's one of the biggest competitions in the world: who is the best to do it? I just want to prevent mental anguish from perfectly good people like me who just made a mistake and are getting taken advantage of.

More information will come later when I've had more time to think.
